Acceptable Use Policy

Last updated 8 October 2026 · Effective [effective date] · All legal documents

This policy sets the rules for using PeptideProof, its API and its widgets. It forms part of the Terms of Service. Breaking it can lead to suspension or termination.

Do not upload or submit

  • Documents you have no right to share, or that are covered by a confidentiality duty you would breach.
  • Forged, fabricated or deliberately altered documents presented as genuine — including to obtain a favourable public report.
  • Malware, files designed to exploit parsers, or anything that attacks the Service or other users.
  • Unlawful content, or personal data about other people beyond what the document itself contains.

Do not misuse the Service

  • Circumvent plan limits, quotas, rate limits or access controls; share or resell accounts or API keys.
  • Scrape the Service in bulk, or use it to build a competing dataset, outside what the API terms for your plan allow.
  • Probe, scan or test the security of the Service without our written permission. Report vulnerabilities to us instead.
  • Use the Service, or our links to a laboratory’s verification page, to bypass a laboratory’s bot protection, rate limits or terms. Where a laboratory restricts automated access, check its page yourself.
  • Interfere with the Service, overload it, or reverse engineer it except where the law allows.

Do not misrepresent results

  • Do not state or imply that PeptideProof has “approved”, “certified”, “verified” or endorsed a product, vendor or laboratory beyond what a published report actually says, and always quote the verification state accurately.
  • Do not alter a report, screenshot or widget so that it shows a different state, or remove its caveats.
  • Do not use a report to harass, threaten or defame anyone; reports are observations about documents, not accusations.

No health or sales claims

  • Do not use the Service or its outputs to market compounds for human use, or to give dosing, treatment or medical advice.
  • You are responsible for complying with the laws that apply to the compounds you research, buy, sell or ship.

Enforcement

We may remove content, suspend or end accounts, and report unlawful activity to the authorities. Where practical we will tell you why and give you a chance to respond. To report a breach of this policy, see Contact.
