Corrections and disputes policy

Reports describe documents and the evidence around them. If you are a vendor, a laboratory, or anyone named in a report and you think something is wrong or unfair, you can ask us to look again. This is how that works.
What you can ask for
- Correct a factual error — for example a misread value, the wrong vendor, laboratory or batch, or a duplicate wrongly flagged.
- Add context or evidence we did not have — for example the laboratory’s own confirmation, a corrected document, or a link we could not reach.
- Review a finding you think is misleading, or a report you think names you unfairly.
How to submit
Email [corrections email] with: the address of the report, what you say is wrong and why, any evidence, your name and contact details, and your relationship to the entity concerned (for example “employee of the vendor”). We may ask you to prove that relationship before we share details or treat evidence as coming from the entity itself, and we will not disclose who uploaded a document.
What happens next
- We acknowledge your request within 5 business days and aim to decide within 15 business days; complex cases may take longer, and we will say so.
- We re-examine the evidence against the original document, and may ask you for more.
- Outcomes: corrected (the report is re-run or amended and the change noted); annotated (the report stays and shows your statement beside it); or no change (we explain why). You may reply once to a “no change” decision with new evidence.
- Corrections are recorded with their date, so the history of a report stays honest.
What does not change the outcome
A verification state follows the evidence. It is never changed because someone pays, subscribes to a plan, advertises, or threatens to leave — and a vendor cannot buy the removal of a finding. See the Independence and conflicts policy.
