Copyright and content-removal notices
Last updated 8 October 2026 · Effective [effective date] · All legal documents
If you believe content on PeptideProof — for example a published report or an uploaded document shown in one — infringes your copyright, or is unlawful, tell us and we will review it promptly. For factual inaccuracies in a report, use the Corrections and disputes policy instead.
Send a notice
Email [legal email] with:
- The exact address (URL) of the content, and a description of it.
- For copyright: the work you say is infringed, and that you are the owner or authorised to act for the owner.
- For other unlawful content: the law you say it breaks and why.
- A statement that you believe in good faith the use is not authorised, and that your notice is accurate. For US copyright notices, also a statement under penalty of perjury that you are authorised to act, and your physical or electronic signature.
- Your name, address, email and telephone number.
Notices that are incomplete or abusive may be rejected, and knowingly false notices can carry legal liability.
What we do
- We acknowledge a complete notice, review it, and may remove or disable access to the content while we do.
- We tell the person who published the content, unless the law prevents us, and tell you the outcome.
- Counter-notice. If your content was removed and you believe that was a mistake, reply with your name, contact details, the content’s address, and a good-faith statement explaining why. We forward it to the person who complained and may restore the content unless they begin legal proceedings.
- We may close the accounts of people who repeatedly infringe.
